On Tuesday, Seattle Academy earned a 45-38 victory over Sammamish. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Seattle Academy.
Despite the loss, Sammamish saw an underclassman step up: Sophia Eastman scored 25 points. The contest was Eastman's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Essie Hemnes, who scored four points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Seattle Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Sammamish, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seattle Academy will take on Kennedy Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Sammamish will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lindbergh at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
