Centennial had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They managed a 13-9 victory over the Independence Knights. Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mckenzie West, who picked up 147 receiving yards and a touchdown. Logan Murindagomo was another key player, throwing for 185 yards and a touchdown.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
