The Poly Engineers stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 57-5 victory over Benjamin Franklin on the road. Given Poly's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Bayhawks are ranked 156th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Poly's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but London Elliot led the charge by scoring six points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of S'Nyah Robinson, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Poly pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Benjamin Franklin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.
Poly will face off against the Patriots at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. John Carroll will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Benjamin Franklin, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the at 3:45 p.m. on February 2nd.
