The West Carter Comets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 63-27 loss at the hands of East Carter. West Carter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-11.
Savannah Adams was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points for East Carter. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinsley Rutledge, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
West Carter has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for East Carter, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.
West Carter will head out on the road to face off against Morgan County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Carter, they will be playing at home against Fairview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fairview comes in on a streak of failing to score more than ten points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
