Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Griffith). Everything went their way against the Whiting Oilers on Friday as the Griffith Panthers made off with a 66-43 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 22 points or more this season.

Griffith has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Whiting, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Griffith Panthers duke it out with the Hanover Central Wildcats at 9:00 a.m. on January 2, 2025. As for Whiting, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Station Edison at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
