Softball Recap: Ocoee Wins Going Away Against Lyman

Ocoee barely beat Lyman the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights blew past the Greyhounds 9-2 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won ten matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ocoee got a big performance out of Shyanne Marble, who went 1-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs. Zoey Gray was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Ocoee and bumps their season record up to 12-10. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Lyman, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-18 record.

Ocoee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lyman, they will challenge East River at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Greyhounds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
