Basketball Recap: Mason Salazar's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ontario Christian over La Serna

Ontario Christian saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Serna Lancers.

Ontario Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Salazar, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 22 points. Salazar is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Cash Marshall was another key player, going 7-for-8 en route to 15 points.

Ontario Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for La Serna, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Ontario Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-41 loss against Woodbridge on the 22nd. As for La Serna, they have also already played their next game, a 64-62 win against Warren on the 22nd.
