Even though the Alcovy Tigers scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, the Rockdale County Bulldogs still came out on top. Rockdale County pulled ahead with a 60-59 photo finish over Alcovy. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rockdale County.
Rockdale County was led to victory by Dion Williams and Jayden Dickens. Williams dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Dickens scored 16 points. The matchup was Dickens' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaedrick Jennings, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
The win got Rockdale County back to even at 4-4. As for Alcovy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Rockdale County will be playing at home against Mundy's Mill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mundy's Mill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Alcovy, they will head out on the road to face off against Forest Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Forest Park is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
