The Glenn Grizzlies''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 17-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cedar Park. While losing is never fun, Glenn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 478th, while Cedar Park is ranked 162nd).
Despite the loss, Glenn still got an impressive performance from Dejuan Dugar, who rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown. Dugar is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played.
Cedar Park was led to victory by Ayden Arp and Trae Hill. Arp threw for 183 yards and a touchdown, while Hill rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown. Cedar Park also got help from Gavin Chapa who showed off his sure hands for 80 receiving yards.
Glenn has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Cedar Park, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenn will face off against Georgetown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Andrew Petter and Dugar. As for Cedar Park, they will head out on the road to face off against Leander at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
