There's no place like home for the Morgan County Bulldogs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Harlem 58-19 at home. Given Morgan County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while Harlem is ranked 462nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jaden Young continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Kymora Smith was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six assists and three steals.
Morgan County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-11. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Harlem, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.
Morgan County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harlem, they will be playing at home against Hephzibah at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harlem is facing Hephzibah at the right time seeing as Hephzibah is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
