Volleyball Recap: Fletcher Starts Season with Win Against Oakleaf

Fletcher gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Oakleaf Knights by a score of 3-1. For the Senators, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 18-25, 25-17, 25-18.

Amelia Richter paced Fletcher's offense, picking up 11 kills. Richter got some help from Keely Pou and her 39 assists. Pou was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Despite the loss, Oakleaf still got an impressive performance from Kelsey Joshua, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Fletcher didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Clay on the 20th. As for Oakleaf, they will face off against Baldwin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
