The Bowne Wildcats came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Architecture, Engineering and Construction by a score of 79-66. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Bowne had a senior duo take command as Christopher Judge scored 25 points along with six assists and six rebounds and Josiah Salmon dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 20 rebounds, and ten blocks. Salmon is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played. Khaleel Williams-Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Bowne is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Architecture, Engineering and Construction, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bowne will take on Curtis at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Curtis comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Architecture, Engineering and Construction, they will be playing at home against Queens Teaching at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
