Arcadia came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Nandua Warriors get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-1 last Tuesday.
Ryann Giddens made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Brinlee Kauthen was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most triples she has posted since back in April. Arcadia pushed their record up to 11-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.
