Southwest DeKalb found their leader in underclassman Aaron Burks, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jackson Ushery, who scored 12 points.
Clarkston has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Southwest DeKalb, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Clarkston will be playing in front of their home fans against Stone Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Stone Mountain is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Southwest DeKalb, they will head out on the road to challenge Griffin at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
