Geneva waltzed into their match on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. Everything went their way against the Holy Cross Lutheran Academy Crusaders as they made off with a 16-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.
Wyatt Strokes made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Strokes was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Tyson Hilliard was incredible, scoring four runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Will Thigpen, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Geneva hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holy Cross Lutheran Academy struck out eight times.
