The Durand Bulldogs came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Orangeville by a score of 61-54. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Durand also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Durand's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Rager led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was Rager's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Nathan Folk was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds.
Durand pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Orangeville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Durand will be playing in front of their home fans against Stockton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Stockton is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Orangeville, they will head out on the road to face off against Lena-Winslow at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
