If the Norman Tigers were riding high off their 64-37 takedown of the Chickasha Fighting Chicks on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Norman took a 36-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Anadarko. While losing is never fun, Norman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Anadarko is ranked 13th).
When it comes to explaining why Norman lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Keeley Parks. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points along with six rebounds and six steals. The matchup was Parks' tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ady Hybl, who scored four points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Norman's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Anadarko, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norman won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cache on January 6th. Anadarko won't have much time to rest: their next game is against El Reno on January 6th. El Reno will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
