Girard won the last time they faced Labette County and things went their way on Saturday too. The Trojans walked away with a 2-0 win over the Grizzlies. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Girard easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-14.

Maddie Coester paced Girard's offense, picking up nine kills. Coester got some help from Emilee Hanks and her 15 assists. Erika Boatman and Megan Bennett kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Girard's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Labette County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Girard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Erie on the 20th. As for Labette County, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Chanute on the 20th.
