Softball Recap: Nash Central Wins Going Away Against North Pitt

After only two runs in their last matchup, Nash Central made sure to put some runs up on the board against North Pitt on Wednesday. The Nash Central Bulldogs put the hurt on the North Pitt Panthers with a sharp 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five games by ten runs or more so far this season.

RYLEE BREWER made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. BREWER was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, GRACYN KING was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was RAYLEIGH SUMMERLIN, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Nash Central now has a winning record of 5-4. As for North Pitt, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nash Central will square off against Fike at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Pitt, a feisty cat fight will be fought as North Pitt Panthers take on SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
