Winning is just a little bit easier when  you  make six more threes than your opponent, a fact the Heritage Christian Eagles proved  on Tuesday. They came out on top against University by a score of  58-47. The  win made it back-to-back wins for Heritage Christian.
 Heritage Christian was led to victory by  Mya Davis and  Joslyn Marshall.  Davis  scored 21 points along with four  steals, while  Marshall  scored 12 points along with seven  assists and six  steals. Another player making a difference was  Jelyza Lapsley, who  scored five points along with three  steals.
 University's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Mackenzie Feeney, who  scored two points along with 14  rebounds and five  assists. Feeney has been hot recently, having posted two or more  blocks the last eight times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Charlotte Conyers, who  scored ten points along with seven  rebounds.
 Heritage Christian has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for University, they are  on a five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 9-12.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian will  face off against Hamilton Heights at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Hamilton Heights is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last nine games. University's road trip will continue as they head out to face Tri-West Hendricks at 7:30  p.m.  on January 25th.
