Bentley has gone a perfect 4-0 against Carman-Ainsworth recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Cavaliers at 4:00 p.m. Carman-Ainsworth took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bentley, who comes in off a win.
In Monday's Canine Competition, Bentley came out on top. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over Genesee on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won four in a row.

Hunter Trottier made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Brady Kagerer was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Garrett Leonard was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Carman-Ainsworth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 21-5 to Dow.
James Thorpe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Fletcher, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
Carman-Ainsworth's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Bentley, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 5-7.
Bentley's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's matchup. The Bulldogs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Carman-Ainsworth, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Bentley continue to outrun the ball?
Bentley came out on top in a nail-biter against Carman-Ainsworth in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 8-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
