Despite the loss, Mercyhurst Prep still got an impressive performance from Maddox Brzuz, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Derek Bly, who scored nine points.
Girard's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for Mercyhurst Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
