Despite the loss, Mercyhurst Prep still got an impressive performance from Maddox Brzuz, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Derek Bly, who scored nine points.
Girard's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 21.2 points. As for Mercyhurst Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

As for Mercyhurst Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Erie First Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
