Bisbee and Tombstone are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Pumas are taking a road trip to square off against the Yellow Jackets at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Bisbee will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.
On Wednesday, Bisbee got the win against Lincoln Prep by a conclusive 10-2. The result was nothing new for the Pumas, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Trystan Meyer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Xavier Vanmeter was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. He has been hot, having posted two or more stolen bases the last five times he's played. Fabian Hernandez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Bisbee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 13 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tombstone). They blew past Santa Rita 16-1 on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Bisbee's record now sits at 17-3. As for Tombstone, their record is now 9-12.
Bisbee got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March against Tombstone by a conclusive 13-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pumas since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
