Gray's Creek has gone a perfect 10-0 against Douglas Byrd recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Douglas Byrd's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Gray's Creek hadn't allowed a single run the last five times they've hit the field. Considering the Bears have won ten contests by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Hailey McFarley was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Gray's Creek got a massive performance out of Amariya Green, who went 4-for-5 with six RBI, two triples, and one run. Those two triples gave Green a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Amber Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Gray's Creek pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Douglas Byrd, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
Douglas Byrd's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Gray's Creek hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .411. It's a different story for Douglas Byrd, though, as they've only averaged .125. Will they be able to contain Gray's Creek's hitters?
Gray's Creek took their win against Douglas Byrd when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 19-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
