Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Wheeler Bearcats, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of Bremen by a score of 21-18. Wheeler's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Although Wheeler took the loss, they still got scores from Bryce Compton and Xavier Haralovich.
Tyrus Graverson was the offensive standout of the matchup as he picked up 147 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Wheeler's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Bremen, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.
Wheeler does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bremen will head out on the road to face off against LaVille at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. LaVille is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
