St. Augustine Prep is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Jersey's top teams: Hammonton, who was ranked 21st at the time (St. Augustine Prep was ranked first). The Hermits blew past the Blue Devils 13-5 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Hermits, who have now won four matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Marco Christopher was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brady Jackson, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Holy Ghost Prep got the win against Faith Christian Academy on Wednesday by a conclusive 8-1.
Holy Ghost Prep also got a great performance from Matt Riendeau as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Riendeau has become a key player for the Firebirds: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 1-3 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jake Keaser, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Eddie Rosado was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
St. Augustine Prep's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Holy Ghost Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season.
