The Vallivue Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Nampa Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Vallivue ended up a good deal behind Emmett and lost 42-24.
Despite the defeat, Vallivue had strong showings from Onix Carson, who rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and Ryker Oswald, who rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Nampa, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They were beaten by Mountain View 27-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Nampa can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho football rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Mountain View is ranked third).
Vallivue has not been sharp this season, as they've lost six of their first eight games, which leaves them at a 2-6 record this season. As for Nampa, their defeat was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8.
Vallivue and Nampa were almost perfectly matched up when the teams last played back in September of 2021, but Vallivue suffered an agonizing 39-38 loss. Can Vallivue avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
