The Notre Dame de Sion Storm can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pembroke Hill 63-34 on the road. Given Notre Dame de Sion's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Pembroke Hill is ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Notre Dame de Sion to victory were Taelyn Smith and Abby Wendte. Smith almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds, while Wendte scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Wendte also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Sydney Blaine, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Notre Dame de Sion has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Pembroke Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.
Notre Dame de Sion will be playing at home against Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pembroke Hill, they will head out on the road to take on St. Teresa's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
