The Forest Hills Northern Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Byron Center Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Forest Hills Northern will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Forest Hills Northern not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30th (when they won 15-0). They never let Christian get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Considering the Huskies have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
The result came thanks to Cory Smiewec's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Byron Center came out on top against Caledonia on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Bulldogs took their game against the Fighting Scots 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.
Nolan Booth and Keaton Van Kampen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Booth pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Van Kampen tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At bat, Booth went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Van Kampen went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Van Kampen a new career-high.

Byron Center pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Forest Hills Northern, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Forest Hills Northern might still be hurting after the 13-2 defeat they got from Byron Center in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
