The Meek Tigers will challenge the Cold Springs Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Meek's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Phillips 16-0. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by nine runs or more this season.
Sadi Farley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Cold Springs ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past Winston County 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted against the Yellowjackets since April 17, 2017.

Cold Springs pushed their record up to 9-14-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Meek, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Meek couldn't quite finish off Cold Springs when the teams last played back in March and fell 5-3. Will the Tigers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
