The North Fremont Huskies will face off against the Marsh Valley Eagles at 11:45 a.m. on Friday. North Fremont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
North Fremont not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over Salmon. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Savages recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Peyton Lenz made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 11 matches.
In other batting news, North Fremont got a massive performance out of Brynnli Schultz, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs Schultz has posted over her last 12 games. Another player making a difference was Harlee Cherry, who scored a run while going 4-for-4.
North Fremont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Marsh Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of Bear Lake.
Like North Fremont, Marsh Valley also got a great game from a two-way player: Lydia Howell. She struck out eight batters over 6.1 innings while giving up four earned (and six unearned) runs off nine hits. Those hits were Howell's first of the season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Mya Anderson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Lisa Peck was another key player, going 3-for-4 with five RBI.
North Fremont's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Marsh Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
North Fremont couldn't quite get it done against Marsh Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 8-5. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
