Cuba's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Kingston Cougars. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Braden Gipson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Cuba let Aiden Moreland and Layten Eikermann run wild. Moreland went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Eikermann went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Adam Doyle, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Cuba's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Kingston, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cuba will square off against St. James at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kingston, they will take on Bourbon at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
