Waterbury Career Academy had lost 15 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 0-10 to make it 16. They came up short against the Naugatuck Greyhounds, falling 19-2. On the bright side, the two- run effort marked the Spartans' highest-scoring match to date.
Waterbury Career Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dennys Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with one run. That run marked the first that Rodriguez has scored this season.
