Minden's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Doyline Panthers as they made off with a 14-3 victory. The Crimson Tide might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.
Lindsay Ryan made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Ryan was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Leigha Kennon Gilbert was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Kaelynn Williams was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Minden has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-17-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Doyline, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
As of now, neither Minden nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
