Baseball Recap: Clinton Central Extends Winning Streak to Three

Clinton Central never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against the North Miami Warriors as they made off with a 10-0 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Clinton Central got a massive performance out of Carson O'Brien, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave O'Brien a new career-high. Brady Boone also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Clinton Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory was the third in a row for Clinton Central, bringing their record up to 4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for North Miami, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-2 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton Central will welcome Rossville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for North Miami, they will be playing at home against Winamac at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
