Shorewood is on a three-game streak of home losses, Cudahy a 12-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Shorewood Greyhounds will take on the Cudahy Packers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Tuesday, Shorewood was beaten by Milwaukee Lutheran 82-50. While losing is never fun, Shorewood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Milwaukee Lutheran is ranked 156th).
Meanwhile, Cudahy had to suffer through a rough 69-42 loss at the hands of South Milwaukee.
Shorewood has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Cudahy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-19.
Shorewood didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Cudahy in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 68-62 victory. Will Shorewood repeat their success, or does Cudahy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
