It was a good run, but the Chilton County Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. Their rough 63-39 defeat to Benjamin Russell might stick with them for a while. Chilton County has not had much luck with Benjamin Russell recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Justin Godwin and Cayden Meank certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Godwin dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds, while Meank scored 15 points. Godwin hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Bradin Yates, who scored four points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Chilton County's defeat dropped their record down to 18-16. As for Benjamin Russell, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Chilton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Benjamin Russell also has no future games currently scheduled.
