The Troy Trojans lost to the Blue Valley Rams back in December of 2022, but the Troy Trojans didn't allow the Blue Valley Rams the same satisfaction on Saturday. Troy narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Blue Valley 50-48.
Troy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Hartman led the charge by scoring nine points along with ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hartman pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Etherton, who scored 17 points.
Troy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Blue Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troy will play host again and welcome Clifton-Clyde, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clifton-Clyde knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Troy likes a good challenge. Blue Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Frankfort on Monday. Frankfort is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
