In what's become a running theme this season, Park Rapids gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They blew past Crookston 92-59 on the road. Given Park Rapids' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Pirates are ranked 348th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Park Rapids' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Morris led the charge by scoring 29 points along with five assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morris has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Carroll, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, West Central Area had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They secured a 56-50 W over Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta.
Park Rapids is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for West Central Area, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
