Skyline is 2-8 against Highland since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Skyline Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Highland Rams at 7:00 p.m. Skyline has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Skyline beat East 56-50.
Lauren Johnson and Cami Groberg were among the main playmakers for Skyline as the former scored 15 points along with four steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Johnson hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Leelu Bare was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, sadly, Highland is still looking for their first win of the season after 16 matches. The match between them and East wasn't particularly close, with Highland falling 50-32.
Skyline's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Highland, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-16.
Skyline didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Highland in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 49-43 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Skyline since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
