(Bubba) Burras Posts Huge Game in 56-20 Win
Starting off the list is Heritage Academy's Kaleb (Bubba) Burras, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. (Bubba) Burras rushed for 88 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Arete Prep, this isn't the first big game they've seen from (Bubba) Burras. Back in October of 2023 (the last time (Bubba) Burras saw the CHARGERS), he rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

Avery Hamler Delivers Best Performance of Season
Avery Hamler produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Chandler Prep to the win on Friday. Hamler rushed for 149 yards and five touchdowns on only ten carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Hamler and Chandler Prep will look to defend their home field on Friday against Arete Prep at 7:00 p.m. Hamler will face off against Michael Harambasic, the CHARGERS's star receiver. The only thing left to do is find out who's the greater deep ball threat. You'll have to watch the game to know for sure.

Paul Soltero Dazzles in Heritage Academy Victory
Paul Soltero put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 36 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 70 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Arete Prep's probably not too fond of Soltero given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Soltero saw the CHARGERS), he rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Uriah Neloms and Co. Win Seventh in a Row
Uriah Neloms was instrumental in extending San Tan Charter's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Neloms as he threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown.
San Tan Charter pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Neloms will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Heritage Academy on Friday.
