The University Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 53-40 to Spruce Creek, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. University was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Spruce Creek apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
University's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Robert Ayende, who scored seven points. Ayende also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Gilmer, who scored seven points.
University's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Spruce Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

The timing is sure in Lake Highland Prep's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while University has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
