The Lawrenceburg Tigers will square off against the South Ripley Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Lawrenceburg will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Lawrenceburg's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Jac-Cen-Del 18-0. Considering the Tigers have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Ava Hall and Jayni Wesley were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Hall struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Wesley pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. At the plate, Hall got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Wesley went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Those stolen bases were Hall's first of the season.
In other batting news, Izabella Miller was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Harleigh Rowlett was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Lawrenceburg hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, South Ripley fell victim to Madison and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Cubs, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Raiders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Lawrenceburg pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for South Ripley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Lawrenceburg's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's matchup. The Tigers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for South Ripley, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Lawrenceburg continue to outrun the ball?
Lawrenceburg took their win against South Ripley when the teams last played back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 23-0 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
