Richfield is 2-8 against Manti since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Richfield Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Manti Templars at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Richfield is ranked 45th, while Manti is ranked 27th).
After a string of six wins, Richfield's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 65-49 bruising from Canyon View.
Richfield's loss came about despite a quality game from Malik Fautin, who scored six points along with nine rebounds. Cort Moon was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Manti posted their biggest win since December 2, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Delta 77-51. Winning may never get old, but Manti sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Richfield's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6. As for Manti, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Richfield skirted past Manti 60-58 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Richfield repeat their success, or does Manti have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
