The Jefferson Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Broadwater by a score of 84-72. The win was nothing new for Jefferson as they're now sitting on five straight.
Hunter Stevens was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Lee, who scored 18 points.
Jefferson's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Broadwater, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will take on White Sulphur Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. White Sulphur Springs comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Broadwater will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th.
