After flying high against the Carolina International Comets last Wednesday, the Sugar Creek Wildcats came back down to earth. Sugar Creek was outmatched by the Mariners at home and fell 54-21. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sugar Creek in their matchups with the Mariners: they've now lost three in a row.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nyaisa Chislom, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals. Allure Bishop was another key contributor, scoring four points along with four steals.
Sugar Creek's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Jackson Day, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.
Sugar Creek will head out on the road to challenge the Comets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carolina International comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Jackson Day, they will be playing at home against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Lee Park Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 last Friday.
