Jefferson-Morgan strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 52-39 victory over the Trinity Christian Warriors.

Jefferson-Morgan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was John Woodward, who went 7-for-12 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds. Those 16 points gave Woodward a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dayten Marion, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards.

Jefferson-Morgan was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity Christian only racked up four.

Austin Porta and Maddox Mousadis certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Porta posted 12 points, while Mousadis put up 21 points. Mousadis' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points.

Jefferson-Morgan's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Trinity Christian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Jefferson-Morgan won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Morgantown Christian Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Trinity Christian, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Gilmer County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
