You might not recognize the power rankings this week after a busy last week rearranged the teams a whole lot. Among the action were the efforts of Del City's sophomore Jahkobie Smith, an offensive menace who scored six total TDs.
Welcome
The power rankings welcomes a newcomer to the scene as Norman earned the 25th spot after a strong showing in its last game -- even if the final result wasn't what the team was hoping for. It simply didn't have it, losing 63 - 7 to Broken Arrow. The defeat came about despite a quality game from junior Cade Horton, who ran for 110 yards and also punched in one touchdown.
No Stoppin 'Em
Bethany was the big favorite in its game against Harrah last week, and for good reason. Bethany blew past Harrah 56 - 28. The Harrah defense has struggled this season (giving up an average of 32 points per game), and Bethany took advantage of that. At 84 total points, this was the highest scoring power ranking game of the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of last week's main attractions was the confrontation between Stillwater and Midwest City, 3rd and 6th in the power rankings, respectively. Stillwater earned a pretty comfortable 31 - 13 victory over Midwest City. Stillwater saw its record improve to 5-0 and its power rank jump six places as a result.
