Dublin Scioto's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Niah Smedley, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds and three steals. Smedley has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lyla Magnussen, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Worthington Kilbourne's win ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9. As for Dublin Scioto, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
Worthington Kilbourne will head out on the road to challenge Hayes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dublin Scioto, they will be playing at home against Canal Winchester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
