Ezekiel Academy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Southern Christian on Tuesday. Lailyn Shelton and Sarah Vick made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Shelton tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. At the plate, Shelton scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Vick went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that Vick hit this season.

In other batting news, Ezekiel Academy got a big performance out of Baylee Horn, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Addie Newell was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
